The Art Inside project will teach incarcerated youth a new art discipline each month by visiting art professionals in a weekly session. Once a month a visiting art professional will share their chosen career in art and journey then teach a lesson. Weekly sessions will encourage creativity, self-expression, teamwork, patience and project management having a positive impact on self-image and self-esteem. At the completion of the project youth will gain a sense of pride and accomplishment and be able to share their works with different non-profits and organizations to learn about their mission and build a better connection with the community. Social Media will be used to share the works of the youth artists in the hands of the recipients for the community to see and appreciate so they will not be forgotten. Art Inside will show the value of art and the profound emotions it brings out in both the artist and the partaker.
